USA Today, Amazon top 10, and Barnes & Noble top 10, bestselling author of the Lexi Graves Mysteries, Deadlines Mystery Trilogy, Calendar Murder Mysteries and Stella Mayweather urban fantasy series.
If you've stopped by this site, it's probably because you've read one of my novels or are stalking me (hi there!). I predominantly write mysteries, including Lexi Graves (now in its 17th novel!), its spin-off the Deadlines Mystery Trilogy, and the Calendar Murder Mysteries which comprises standalone, but interlinked, novels. My first novel was Illicit Magic, the first in the now complete Stella Mayweather series, a dark urban fantasy for the new adult market. I like to write smart heroines who save themselves although they'll take a well-placed rescue with grace.
I spent many years honing my writing skills as a journalist, writing for the likes of The Independent, The Times, The Guardian, The Telegraph, woman & home, Easy Living, Woman's Own, etc. I've also written extensively online, including for AOL, several Guardian blogs, and as a freelance editor for Shiny Media. I occasionally take on guest speaking roles on topics such as digital media. Before concentrating on fiction, I authored and edited non-fiction books in the education/ self-help field, and have a background as a books editor for a publishing company where I looked after print and ebooks. Basically, words is what I do.
As for me personally, well, I love reading (handy), writing (very useful), and riding rollercoasters (neither handy nor useful, but definitely thrilling). Procrastination includes running because my routes are far from my kitchen and I can't eat all the cookies if I'm somewhere else, yoga, and horse-riding, but not all three together because that would be nuts. I currently live in London, UK.
