Here live scenes that didn't make the final cut with some notes on why...

~Illicit Magic~

This was the original Chapter One for Illicit Magic. After feedback, it was decided that several pages needed to be cut to improve the pacing, basically, it meant several pages before getting into the chase scene which didn't make for an exciting enough first chapter. This download is unedited so there are probably grammatical mistakes.

~Unruly Magic~

This scene was deleted from Chapter One - cut from around midway through, the part where Stella is sat on the porch of her neighbour's steps and eating breakfast with Annalise and Gage. I wanted to show how Stella was getting on in her new life and being quite ordinary despite her extraordinary circumstances, and also how she's dealing with feeling attracted to Gage, despite her continued search for Evan. However, I realised this long scene slowed the action down... but it's here for you to enjoy as a bonus extra.

~Devious Magic~

This scene got the chop because directionally it wasn't really working. It comes from just after the point where Etoile arrives in Hawksley to help Stella. I wanted to show what a weird little village Hawksley was, and right under the Brotherhood's noses too, but ultimately it didn't work.
